Children Ministry

介紹教會兒童事工

Children’s Ministry is one of the most important ministries in Chinese Church in Christ-Cupertino. Children are a heritage from God. We treasure our children. Also we know that God love children so much that hope every little ones can grow in His church – a spiritual house. So, our ministry is effectively designed to facilitate our children to grow into a mature Christian by nurturing them with God’s Word and by equipping them to serve the Lord. We focus on relationships and life application. We believe that through loving relationships, children will see God and learn how to love God with all their heart, with all their soul and with all their mind. Through practical life application, children will learn how to be a good disciple of Christ, to love one another and to know how to face the complexity of this world. We have Sunday school & Sunday Service, Awana on Friday, and specials programs during Summer Time!  Welcome all the children come to God’s Family.

兒童事工一直是我們非常重視及重要的事工之一。因為我們深知：孩子是神給我們的產業，我們珍愛我們的孩子。並且，神喜愛小孩子，希望孩子們有個溫暖的屬靈大家庭。我們的工作，就是給孩子們建立一個安全、有趣、和探索真理的場所。我們強調愛的關係與真理的踐行。我們所有的服事都是為了讓孩子們看到上帝的愛，並學習彼此相愛，以致能勇敢、智慧地面對這個複雜的世界。週日我們有兒童主日學，週五晚有AWANA活動，暑假還有特別節目安排。歡迎所有的小朋友進入到神的家中！

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Greetings! We started to learn the book of John this week. 

Here’s a glimpse at this week’s Bible focus—
• Session Title: Jesus Proclaimed
• Bible Story & Scripture Reference: John’s Announcement (John 1:6-9,19-34; Isaiah 40:3)
• Preschoolers Text Truth: Jesus is the Son of God.
• K – 2nd Grade Text Truth: Jesus is fully God and fully human.
• 3rd – 5th Grade Text Truth: Jesus, the Word, is fully God and became fully human to dwell with His people.

PARENT TIPS:
Today, girls and boys began a five-week journey into the Gospel of John. John was one of the 12 disciples. He is often called the beloved disciple, indicating the closeness of his friendship with the Messiah. John knew Jesus, and John was not afraid to share the good news of Jesus. John began his book by describing Jesus as the Word. This term indicated that Jesus, Himself, was a divine revelation. He was God and He became human. As you review this truth with your family this week, remind them of why Jesus became fully human. Jesus came to dwell with His people to rescue them from their sin. 
1. Who was John, and what made him special among Jesus’ disciples?
(Help kids remember that John was one of the 12 disciples and was called “the beloved disciple.”)
2. What does it mean that Jesus is “the Word”?
(Guide kids to see that Jesus shows us who God is and that He has always existed with God.)
3. Why did Jesus become human and live among people?
(Emphasize that Jesus came to rescue people from sin and show God’s love in person.)
4. How can we know what God is like by looking at Jesus?
(Encourage kids to connect Jesus’ actions—loving, helping, forgiving—with God’s character.)
5. What is one way our family can share the “good news” about Jesus this week?
(Invite kids to think of practical ways—showing kindness, inviting a friend to church, praying for someone.)
