Children Ministry

兒童事工

Children’s Ministry is one of the most important ministries in Chinese Church in Christ-Cupertino. Children are a heritage from God. We treasure our children. Also we know that God love children so much that hope every little ones can grow in His church – a spiritual house. So, our ministry is effectively designed to facilitate our children to grow into a mature Christian by nurturing them with God’s Word and by equipping them to serve the Lord. We focus on relationships and life application. We believe that through loving relationships, children will see God and learn how to love God with all their heart, with all their soul and with all their mind. Through practical life application, children will learn how to be a good disciple of Christ, to love one another and to know how to face the complexity of this world. We have Sunday school & Sunday Service, Awana on Friday, and specials programs during Summer Time!  Welcome all the children come to God’s Family.

兒童事工一直是我們非常重視及重要的事工之一。因為我們深知：孩子是神給我們的產業，我們珍愛我們的孩子。並且，神喜愛小孩子，希望孩子們有個溫暖的屬靈大家庭。我們的工作，就是給孩子們建立一個安全、有趣、和探索真理的場所。我們強調愛的關係與真理的踐行。我們所有的服事都是為了讓孩子們看到上帝的愛，並學習彼此相愛，以致能勇敢、智慧地面對這個複雜的世界。週日我們有兒童主日學，週五晚有AWANA活動，暑假還有特別節目安排。歡迎所有的小朋友進入到神的家中！

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Greetings! This week is our fourth week studying Luke’s Gospel.

Here’s a glimpse at this week’s Bible focus—
• Session Title: Pray Like Jesus
• Bible Story & Scripture Reference: Jesus Taught About Prayer (Luke 11:1-13; Matthew 6:5-15)
• Preschoolers Text Truth: God hears us when we pray.
• K – 2nd Grade Text Truth: Jesus taught that we should pray to God.
• 3rd – 5th Grade Text Truth: Jesus taught that we should pray to God with boldness.

PARENT TIPS:
Today, we also turned to the Gospel of Matthew to learn from not one but two Bible authors what Jesus taught about prayer. Kids might know that we should pray, but only God can teach us how to pray.

Ask your kids: “Who is your favorite person in the world to talk to? Why do you love talking to them?” Continuing the discussion, ask: “Why does God want us to pray to Him? How should we pray to God?” Ask your kids if they will join you in a prayer time. Give your kids a choice between praying aloud, praying silently, or writing their prayers on a piece of paper or in a journal or notebook. Later in the week, invite them to another prayer time. Encourage every effort they make in praying. Don’t forget to ask your kids how you can pray for them!

Hint: Jesus taught them that they should pray to whom?
2. Why does God want us to pray to Him?
Hint: Think about what prayer shows about our relationship with God. Does God want to hear from us?
3. What are some things we can pray to God about?
Hint: Can we pray about our needs, our family, our friends, or things we are thankful for?
4. What does it mean to pray to God with boldness?
Hint: When we pray boldly, should we be afraid to ask God for what we need? Should we trust that God hears us?
5. What are some different ways you can pray to God this week?
Hint: Can you pray out loud, pray silently, or write your prayer in a notebook or journal?

主內平安！本周是我们学习《路加福音》的第四周。

以下是我們在課堂上重點學習到的內容：

可以问问孩子：“你最喜欢和这个世界上的谁聊天？为什么你喜欢和他/她说话呢？”
接着可以继续问：“为什么神希望我们向祂祷告？我们应该怎样向神祷告呢？”

邀请孩子和你一起安排一段祷告时间。可以让孩子选择自己喜欢的方式：大声祷告、默默地祷告，或者把祷告写在纸上、祷告本或日记本里。

在这一周稍后的时间里，也可以再次邀请孩子一起祷告。鼓励他们每一次愿意祷告的努力。别忘了问问孩子：“你希望我为你祷告什么？”
